walking across those big, endless parking lots one can only find in Americas suburban world of strip malls and plazas always leaves me with a subtile feeling of desolation. Doing so on a hot summer day, when the heat rises and you are being baked alive while wondering when this endless walk is going to be over -yes, these parking lots are a lot bigger than they look- adds the strange sense of being in a different universe. The twist is that I like both, the feeling of desolation and the thought of being in a different universe. So I actually enjoy my Saturday parking lot strolls and exploring the unusual perspectives I like to photograph….
