the cranberry bog

morning mist

as it was going to be an amazing day in October at 18C and sunshine, I decided to head out to visit a cranberry bog in the morning. Little do I know about cranberries, but I figured that at this time of the year the bogs should be rather red and covered with berries. Well, the farm I went to in Carton, Massachusetts, does not do water harvesting. And apparently the cranberries itself hide quite well under the plant’s leaves. Oh well. I ended up looking at brownish, greenish fields with very little red. Nevertheless, it was a fantastic, foggy morning and a fantastic photo opportunity…
